The head of the laboratory, Alexander Gasnikov, joined the scientific council of the AI Alliance Russia. The main goal of the organization is to unite the positions of the scientific community on the AI agenda. It is expected that the alliance will become the main center for creating recommendations for the support and development of research in Russia.
«On the one hand, it is very prestigious, on the other hand, it is a great responsibility that I will try to justify,» Gasnikov commented.
The first scientific council of the alliance has selected scientific supervisors whose students have been published at the world's leading scientific AI conferences.

Alexey Naumov, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Director of Fundamental Research at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Sciences of the Higher School of Economics. Author of articles in the field of probability theory in high-dimensional spaces, statistics, machine learning, reinforcement learning.
Alexey Shpilman, PhD, Head of the Center for Data Analysis and Machine Learning at the Higher School of Economics — St. Petersburg. He has more than 40 scientific articles on AI, including at the A* conference.
Evgeny Burnaev, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor at Skoltech, Director of the Skoltech AI Center, Leading researcher at the Research Institute of Artificial Intelligence
Anton Konushin, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor of the Department of Big Data and Information Retrieval at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science. He has written over 130 articles on the following topics: computer vision, pattern recognition and image analysis, video surveillance systems, three-dimensional reconstruction and others.
Ivan Oseledets, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, General Director of the AI Institute of Artificial Intelligence, winner of the Russian President's Prize in Science and Innovation for young scientists.
Valentin Malykh, researcher in the field of text processing (natural language processing), Candidate of Technical Sciences, organizer of the Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language conference.
The purpose of the scientific council was to attract leading experts to help young researchers and systematize work on the development of science and research in the field of AI.
