Applications Open for the B. T. Polyak Scholarship for Contributions to Numerical Optimization

The application process is now open for the B. T. Polyak Scholarship for Contributions to the Development of Numerical Optimization Methods. Applications are accepted until February 3 (inclusive), 11:59 PM.

The scholarship is awarded for one academic semester. Selection of recipients is carried out by an expert committee chaired by Andrey M. Raigorodskii, Professor and Director of the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics.

To apply, candidates are required to submit a CV including information on scientific publications, participation in conferences and project schools, as well as other achievements in the field of numerical optimization methods.

The scholarship program was established in February 2021 and is aimed at supporting undergraduate and graduate students of the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at MIPT who are actively engaged in research in numerical optimization.
