The MMO Lab team, together with Anton Proskurnikov, a well-known specialist in consensus theory, received a grant to develop efficient distributed algorithms for solving optimization problems. The funds were received within the framework of the competition «Conducting fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research by individual scientific groups» from the Russian Science Foundation (RSF).

«We are glad! This is our first personal grant. Prior to this, the team received RSF grants only as part of a larger team,” commented Alexander Gasnikov, head of the laboratory.

The funds from the grant will be used for scientific research in 2023-2025. Financing is provided in the amount of 7 million rubles each year with the possibility of extension.

Laboratory employees who participated in the competition: Alexander Beznosikov, Dmitry Kovalev, Darina Dvinskikh, Ekaterina Borodich, Demyan Yarmoshik, Savely Chezhegov, Dmitry Metelev. On the subject of the grant, the participants of the application plan to defend several Ph.D. and one doctoral dissertations in the near future.
