The head of the laboratory, Alexander Gasnikov, joined the Council for Science and Education under the President of Russia. The relevant decree has been published on the legal information portal. 

The council includes 46 people, including members of the Russian government, representatives of the executive branch and Russian business, as well as rectors of universities in the country.  Vladimir Putin himself is the Chairman of the Council, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, became his deputy, and Andrei Fursenko, assistant to the head of state, became secretary.
