The Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IAI) has been established at MIPT, and its specialists will work on important research and practical projects for the country in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The institute aims to develop high-tech platforms based on AI that will help strengthen Russia's technological independence and lead to breakthroughs in key sectors of the economy.

Professor Yuri Vilziter from the Russian Academy of Sciences will serve as the scientific director of the institute. His scientific advisory board will include Professor Alexander Gasnikov and Director Andrey Raigorodsky from the PhysTech School of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Director Dmitry Gavrilov from the PhysTech School of Radio Engineering and Computer Technology. Other prominent Russian scientists will also be part of the team.
