Laboratory are actively involved in teaching, they give lectures and organize seminars. And not only numerical optimization methods, but also many other disciplines such as stochastic and algorithmic cycle of disciplines, reinforcement learning, big data mathematics, mathematical modeling of traffic flows, discrete mathematics, etc.
The laboratory has Youtube channel with methodological materials and lectures on optimization.
The desire to teach is very welcome and encouraged. According to agreements with a number of departments of the School of PMI (first of all, we are talking about the Department of Mathematical Foundations of Management and the Department of Discrete Mathematics), young laboratory staff have direct access to the leadership of the departments, and the opportunity to realize themselves as teachers. For example, in the spring semester, lectures on numerical optimization methods are given for 3rd year students from the laboratory.
Several original courses on Stochastic Optimization, Saddle Problems and Variational inequalities, Numerical Methods for solving large (integer) linear programming problems, and Reinforcement Learning will also be added to this basic course. All courses will come from the MOE department.
In the fall semester, courses on Mathematical Modeling of Traffic flows and Big Data Mathematics are taught. Videos of a course on big data mathematics are available on our Youtube channel.
An All-Russian optimization Seminar is also regularly organized.
The seminars of the scientific group take place on Tuesday evenings in the auditorium 203 KPM/online. For more accurate information, you must first contact Alexander Nikolaevich Beznosikov by telegram @abeznosikov or by mail: beznosikov.an@phystech.edu
